Wesley Kanne Clark, Sr. is a retired US Army general. He graduated from the 1966 Course at West Point and received the Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford University where he earned degrees in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He later graduated from the Command and General Staff School with a master's degree in military science. He spent 34 years in the US Army, receiving numerous military ornaments, a number of honorary knights and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Clark commanded the Kosovo War Allied Forces while serving as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe from 1997 to 2000. Clark entered the 2004 Democratic presidential race as a candidate in 2003, but withdrew from the primary race in 2004, after winning the primary. In the state of Oklahoma, he supported and campaigned for the last Democratic candidate, John Kerry.
